Hello, about to remove the front bumper on my 2000 4.6, on the drivers side access to the wire clip is ok, on the passenger side there is a metal plate in the way, has anyone come across this, I can get my hand in behind the metal plate but I cannot move the wire clip or see what I am doing.

Nope but you saved me a post . I await any info before I try to straighten mine and get the bull bar abortion off.

With headlights out you should be able to get to the clips undo the two torque bolts middle of bumper on the bottom roughly where number plate is. A sharp tap downwards on the bumper and it should just slide off. May need 2 people to make sure no damage to paintwork

Make sure to use the correct TORX socket on the centre bolts. I tried mine with a tight 12pt std socket but damaged the heads. Then it was a bugger of a job.
