Hi,

I've just put my front axle back on and need to replace all the brake lines, shoes and cylinders. (1980 SWB 88 2.25 petrol)

Is there/what is the best complete brake line kit and where from? I also need to get a flaring tool so any suggestions there?
Or is it a case of ordering everything individually?
I've been using famous four overly the last couple weeks because they have been fantastic with delivery/service with the obvious ongoing situation.

Thank you, Dan

Craddocks do complete kits. 1980 was the year the front brake spec changed, make sure you order the correct kit. Hope the backing plate is okay cos they’re like hens teeth and cost.

YRM ado a nice stainless bracket that holds the flexis on back of swivel
I have one of these to do the brake lines old but works well
I ordered a roll of copper pipe but wished I got copper nickel I think a bit stronger

That tool will do DIN (metric great, I think yours is so that OK, but if its imperial you'll need one with both types of flares. I use the Sykes Pickavent but its expensive for what it does. Don't get the really cheap ones, they only do copper and you want to use Cunifer.

This correct that is a metric version. I have an imperial one which will make single and double flares

Thanks for all your help. I've ordered all the parts i need this morning so hopefully over the next week or two I should be able to get the heels back on. Thanks again.
