can any one confirm how the front anti roll bar is beld in place to stop it moving from left to right?

reason i asked is on checking mine today i found that i was sitting on the suspension leg and i could move it from left to right of the car

You might want to check the condition of your drop links.

There should be a small weld bead on the anti roll bar each side on the inside of where the bushes are. Min dropped off on one side and the roll bar moved across and was touching the suspension. There is a thread on here about it. I fixed it by putting a washer over the rollbar and holding it in place with a heavy duty juberlie clip. Still holding.

Northern Irelander is the guy to listen to.

I never got round to replacing the jubilee clips with brace clamps, didn't need to, the jubilee clips worked a treat for me.

cheers for the help, today had a good look under the car as the new roll bar bushes had arrived.

fitted these along with the jubliee clamp to stop it moving back over.

nice to know the rattle i thought was the IRD is not and is a simple fix.

also the noise i had from turning the streering wheel which i thought was the rack making a nise is not there any more because the bar is not sitting on the suspesion leg.
