why oh why,do they make the damn pin soooooooo hard to line up,can someone please tell me where i am going wrong i have dunlop replacement air springs but i am buggered if i can get it to line up to get the pin in.
i have been at it for two hours but the pin does not want to play ball,i don't easily give up but am almost at breaking point lol,
by the way i still have a full head of hair,very very grey but none the less a full head of hair,

Yeah they can be a bitch. Think you will find if you look carefully there is a cut out or mark in bottom mount to use as a guide.
 
yep there is a guide but it is being a real bitch,don't want to be too heavy handed,and break the spring.

You won't break it. When it finaly slips into place you will wonder how it could have taken so long. You have put some air in the bag to push it down squarely onto its mounting i take it.
 
i had this problem of lining the pin up as well,i found that if i bent the pin slightly it went in much easier.
 
Oh yes,I totally sympathise.The part of the job that took the longest was getting those damn pins back in.When they finally just slip in so easily,you are inclined to believe the RR was just messing with your mind for a while:doh:
 
Been there and done that. Made sure that I had plenty grease onthe pin. Took a while but got there in the end.

All I ever seem to do nowadays is put it in bent.......when the occaision arises.........which ain't often !!!!!!!

i got it thef.............b.............. scuse my french,in the end i ground the pin to a finer point and finally won,only three more to go:doh:
