Hello
I’m glad to join this forum.
Just bought a 1958 Serie 2 diesel Land, with the wheel on the right side ;)
One of my wife’s long lasting dream
See you soon when I’m smart enough to attach a photo …

my land at her new home

Well, don’t know for the seat boxes. I’ll have a look when I go to Normandy

It is a feature of the early s2, some of the very early ones had carry over bits from the s1 and some different chassis bits and bobs, might seem anal but it is the stuff that is going to matter in the future.

Nice landy, welcome. When I was out in my series 3 yesterday I was waved at by someone in the classic French farmers vehicle, a 2cv. Good to see you bought the correct farm vehicle

Yes,
My uncle was a farmer in burgundy and owned a 2cv ; great fun to drive. As a student I had a Dyane, the « fancy » 2cv but totally forgotten.
My land is RHD, well adapted to driving on the narrow roads with hedges we have in Normandy, very similar to what you have in some parts of Britain.

I remember the dyane, quite a few on the roads here when I was growing up. Always imagine the post war years, Britain we have loads of aircraft aluminium left and some willy's jeeps to copy . France we have loads of corrugated iron and walking stick handles, we can use the handles for the hand brake
