AVM hubs are leaking. I know gasket sets are now obsolete and I will have too make my own.
Question is do I undo the small "allen keys" on the locking knob or the larger bolts on the hub to renew.
Will anything fall out if I'm not careful :eek:

OOPS sorry - Selectro Hubs :eek:

there's nothing in those hubs to leak - if they are weeping it's the drive shaft seal that's gone

just undo the 6 bolts and pull off the flange complete with the FWH

I fitted a pair of Selectro hubs to my IIA about 8 years ago, but as I remember, the small allen bolts need to be removed from the freewheel hubs first and the rotary switch removed in order to unbolt the halfshaft from the freewheel hub. I also recall that the freewheel does contain oil shared with the hub bearings and swivel housing. I don't think you need to worry too much about stripping it down. There are bits to fall out, and they are a bit fiddly to put back together but they're not desperately complicated.

Thanks Fenby much appreciated advice. When the snow has gone will try to replace without getting a frozen butt.
