Hello Landers, On opening the door my Freelander beeps at me , when I put the key in the ignition the noise stops, I can't find anything in the handbook, (It's a TD4 Auto) Any Ideas? :confused:
 
its the self destruct facility, if you don't put the key in the ignition in less than 7 seconds it will blow up.:D
 
some reckon that its telling you that the battery in the fob needs replacing, I'm going to find out later today when i replace my battery.
 
Yeah, I just had the same with mine, had been doing it for a month or so. Replaced to key fob battery and it's has stopped!
 
Just started doing it to me too. Was there fumbling to put the key in as fast as poss in case the alarm went off and woke the whole street up lol
