Hi,
I've got a problem with my 2001 V6 petrol freelander(bet you have heard that before). I've changed the themostat, replaced expansion tank and cap and there is no water in the oil.
It still overheats when running slow in a traffic jam or just ticking over and the fans are working OK. The top hose is hot and bottom hose is cool!
Did a run of of about 30 miles yesterday and temp gauge kept shooting up to high then came back down again this happened about 10 times. I also think the heater in the car pushed out much hotter air for a few seconds...does this point to an air blockege in the system(or is it me imagining things!!!!)
Any sensible idea's on how to fix problem would be welcome.
Many thanks.B
