Carl lewis

I've just fitted a pair of Michelin Latitude tyres to the front of a TD4 Freelander (the original 4x4 Synchrones are no longer available)
The result is a constant drone together with floor vibration (not a wheel balance problem) I've had the front/rear tyres re-balanced and swapped only to find that the drone has reduced but has been replaced by a whine from the back end!
Has anyone else experienced this or got any comments.

Are you THE Carl Lewis? The retired American track and field athlete who won 10 Olympic medals including 9 golds, and 10 World Championships medals, of which 8 were golds, in a career that spanned from 1979 when he first achieved a world ranking to 1996 when he last won an Olympic title and subsequently retired???

Welcome to the forum Mr US Olympic Hero!! We are not worthy!! :)

dint he get done fer tekkin banned substances " alledgedly"

Aw crap! You're right. OK, I'll take back all the nice things I said. You're just as bad as that other fella... you know, the former Canadian sprinter who enjoyed a high-profile career during most of the 1980s, winning two Olympic Bronze medals, and an Olympic Gold which was subsequently rescinded. He set consecutive 100 m world records at the 1987 World Championships in Athletics and the 1988 Summer Olympics, but he was disqualified for doping, losing the Olympic title and both records.

Could be the real Carl Lewis if he owns a gaylander, he did bat for other side after all. ;)

p.s. After he retired from sprinting in 96, I am certain he did a few years competing as a long jumper. (could be wrong though).

If tyres are directional they will have arrows on the side walls showing the correct direction of rotation. They should also state that they are directional on the side walls.
