hi all, just got my missus her long awaited freelander which i must admit i,m very proud of . i seem to have a few problems with it so i hope someone can help....

i got a l series engine 2.0 turbo diesel that struggles every morning to start i have to use gas to get it fired up and a hugh cloud of what smells like unburnt diesel out of the exhaust.but then for the rest of the day she starts fine. she also feels like she,s lacking power and wont go above 70mph.i changed the glowplugs and filter but still no change infact i think its a little worse. i,m gonna change the fuel filter again it wasn,t an original unit and i did bleed the filter properly.. i,m lost and need some of your advice regarding this type of problem if you have experienced or know the possability of the problem . thanks for taking the time to read this..cheers
