Hi there

Had a 03 freelander for 18 montsh no problems - now we have loads

The latest is that it turns over but wont start

We had a mobile mechanic look at it - he put the snap diagnostics on it and there was nothing

Our local garage came up yesterday and they couldnt find anything - the fuel is coming through and the glowplugs are working

Garage man says it as if there is an immobliser on it ?

Can anyone help - sat on the drive waiting for garage

Quick 4rt, try both keys (if you haven't already), and a query: have you changed the key fob batteries recently? does sound like an immobiliser issue at first soundings.....

Try a squirt of Easy Start spray (from Halfords etc) in the air intake.

If it starts and keeps running its most probably a fuel supply issue.
Injector leakback
Low fuel pressure at the HP pump inlet due to one or both low pressure pump failure
Leaking seal in the HP pump's control solenoid
Leaking injector.

If it doesn't start it could be cam or crank sensor.
The cam sensor fails more often than the crank sensor but there should have been a code logged, unless the code reader was not fully compatible.

rover ron is reet ,but one thats overlooked is the fuel filter could be blocked. . .oh un best of luck. . . .:)
