New clutch fitted collected from garage drove perfect, after about 50miles stopped to put diesel in, turns over won't start? Garage says it won't be anything they have done can't afford another large bill..any ideas appreciated

What year is it? Pre 2002 tap fuel pump under fuse box in engine bay 2002 on it’s behind drivers rear wheel arch have same issue with my partners at the moment

Fuel pump will be behind rear driver side arch with ignition on give it a tap with a hammer see if it frees it if not a new pump is needed easy enough to change

Car in garage been their since tuesday they are saying fuelpump is in tank but i thought on 54 plate it was drivers side rear wheel arch quoting me £212 for part in tank anyone confirm im right please

There's no fuel pump in the tank. Find a garage that knows what they're talking about.

The price is about right for fitting a genuine pump, however it's in front of offside rear wheel, not in the tank.

It will be the low pressure pump behind the OS rear wheel arch, only replace it with a pierburg pump otherwise you will ne paying out twice, if that fails it could the HPFP regulator O-rings £5.99 for the parts, and an hours work to fit them.

If after those have been changed and it will still not charge then do a leak back test it could be one of the injectors, the garage are wrong about the in tank pump.

Now garage has said it's not fuel pump it's an electrical problem in garage a week and still no further
What are they basing that on? Is this the same garage that said there's a fuel pump in the tank? If so then I'm assuming they don't have a clue as to what it wrong with it.

Non start is going to be a few things (failed pressure regulator O rings, cam sensor, low pressure fuel pump, leaking injector). Unless those things are attempted and or rectified, there's no point in investigating further.

Yes same garage and yes I'm guessing they don't have a clue it went to a garage as I needed it done quickly a week later still no further in getting it back. Think it will have to go somewhere else
