Hi just wondered if anyone could offer advise.

I have a freelander TD4 52 plate 3dr.

The problem i have started after it came back from the dealers in West Yorkshire.

About 2 months ago, the clutch pedal went flat and i couldnt select any gears, took the car to the landrover dealers who told me it required a new hydraulic system £600 and while they had the clutch off the box they fitted a new clutch £150. Went to pick the car up to find out that there was no power in the engine what so ever, so went back to the dealers who told me it required an air flow meter £250, the 2nd one in 2 years. Took the car away, on driving it i thought it was still a little sluggish, but thought this could be because i was used to driving a works car that is quite quick. ontop of this the brake system seams to have gone to pot the brakes seam to have no servo.
Although the day before the clutch went, the car had just passed it's MOT with no problems.
Phoned the dealers to explain that the car seemed sluggish they asked me to bring in for analyisis but couldnt make the date arranged. I dont exactly trust them at the moment as every time it goes to them i end up spending large amounts of money.

The power in the rev range doesnt seam to kick in until approx 3000rpm, i am sure it used to kick in at just before 2000rpm.

Anyone got any ideas?

Your comment about the brakes leads me to believe that there is a general lack of vacuum probably due to disturbed pipework during the gearbox removal etc this would also affect turbo operation causing power losses. D..

Ok,

thanks for that info,

am i right in thinking that the power and turbo should kick in before 3000rpm.

I should really take the vehicle back to the dealer then, and get them to fix it.....

cheers for help.
