hmmm...bad things are happening last 2 days. seems to have developed a misfire at idle speed up to about 1500rpm if you press the throttle VERY lightly when in neutral. the injectors that were fitted in november arent original bosch ones and are under warranty so maybe ill see if i can change them. i checked the resistance in the loom this evening and everything seems ok. the pipe i can see that could do with being replaced in the the thin pipe on top of the egr valve.

also does any one know the signs of the lp pump failing? it seems to make a noise just after the car is started for 10-15 seconds then stops.

If the small pipe going to the EGR has perished, that will cause bad running.
The lp pump, if you put the ignition in position 2, it should whir for 30 seconds to a minute, then stop. If it is constantly making a noise it's wearing out.

small pipe will be replaced as soon as i can get some. it hasnt quite worn through yet but its not far off.
the lp pump will make its usual noise whilst priming but then continues to make violent screechy kind of noises for about 15-20 seconds then goes away.

That's on its way out then!

could it be that thats causing the problems?
ill have to check its definitely that, when i get a chance ill get the wheel arch cover off and have a listen. i know its due a fuel filter anyway and ive got one here to be fitted so ill replace that same time.

Not all problems, but it won't be helping. I'd be more concerned about that small pipe. It might look like it's still working, but that controls the EGR, so it could leak air in or fluctuate the position of the EGR, which isn't good.

fair enough, ill get that pipe changed as soon as possible, see what difference it makes. it would be nice if its something as simple as that.
