Hi out there..

Don’t know if anyone has come across a Td4 with simlar problem, not quite sure where to start so will waffle away.

Have a freelander Td4 drives fine till it gets to 2000 rpm when turbo cuts in just looses power.
Plugged into computer & comes up with P1190 fuel rail pressure plausibility.
On live data the low pressure side shows 400 mbars fluctuates few mbars either way, But high pressure on idle fluctuates between 28000 & 32000 mbars & as you increase the revs it goes through the roof 70000 to 90000 fluctuating 20000+.
Have pluged into another Td4 & idle shows 28000, 2k rpm 32000, 3k 48000, 4k 59000 with hardly any fluctuation(all above values ive rounded for ease)
Also turns over slightly more times than it should before starting.

What ive done.

Changed fuel filter.
Checked inj leak off, No4 slightly higher leak off so blanked injector off with no change to Fuel pressure.
Checked wiring & connections(Ref Landrover TSB)to fuel pressure switch, ECU, Fuel pressure control switch on HP pump.
Changed Fuel pressure control switch on HP Pump.
Changed Fuel rail pressure switch.
Checked all pipes.
Starting to get desparate!! even unplugged MAF sensor.

Also has cut out showing no low fuel pressure but assume that the ECU shutting the engine down.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated...Cheers

Ps sorry to waffle but thought more info the better.

If I were you, I would post this in the freelander section, you may find someone there who knows about this, or more importantly, some one who actually cares. posting it here means you will just get abused for owning a gayla- oops, freelander. :D By the way, welcome to the loonyzone, sense of humor and thick skin are essential.

I got the cure :violent::mil36::mil13::mil75: Then lots and lots of:flame::flame:
But more to the point:welcome2:
