Some may remember my old Freelander. Was well modified, and spent most its time on green lanes. Really miss it.

Already has a egr bypass valve fitted and BMW crankcase filter mod.
Ordered, roof rails, Silicone hoses, tailored mats, a spare 17" alloy, roof ariel, a fascia adapter and audio harness.
Needs a drop link, few scuffs to sort out and a few other bits.

Regarding oil change I am sure this will be on another thread but with the original plastic sump guard on, to change the engine oil I undo the 2 rear undertray bolts, push a short length of 4 inch flat profile roof gutter up to sump plug and drain it into a suitable container. Front end jacked up a bit, yes on stands, sump plug loosened with extension, happy days. Not had an oil slick yet. Suppose I will have to do it properly with metal sump guard on haha

I love this forum and you guys. Another great sump guard. How is the front edge held in there? Oh, I see, you undo the bolts and the guard levers down? Like it but I have no welding kit or ability. I bet I can find a man who can. Or rivnuts did I read somewhere? What sheet did you use? Not that I am becoming obsessed with sheet metal or anything ha. I am beginning to think I should have paid the bloke who did the welding on my bike...it was a few years ago.... maybe he has forgotten. I don't think it is as strong as JC600's checker plate but so far has had the full weight if the car sitting on a rock at least once (not when it was on Bertie but on a standard Freelander) with no issues.

Job for the weekend, replace rotten socket holder and all screws/bolts. Thought I'd might as well change to a ball and pin at the same time. Also need to paint the tow bar.

Can't mate, on 24hr call out.....seems to snow when I'm call and can't go out.
I did get soaked in rain and oil for 3.5 hrs earlier, changing a main pump hose on a jet vac unit. That was fun lol
I don't miss being on call. It was the worst part of working at the garage. I didn't mind the breakdowns to much. But hated dragging smashed up cars out of ditches or fields at 3am, because the driver was ****ed.
Common issue unfortunately but some cheap replacements available. No idea how good they are as I've always repaired mine with new plates I made myself.Had to go to my brothers work yesterday as one of my tyres was leaking from the rim. Sorted quickly and sealed up.
Whilst on the ramp, noticed the diff seal leaking. Level OK, but definitely needs doing. Also looked at my fuel tank cradle, that's absolutely hanging. Tubes are on there way out. So will hopefully get those done next week by my brothers work.
