Well hello all I need advice i have a FL TD4 1 2 lt diesel 2003 turn the ignition on and then try to start. nothing just turns over. What have i done well changed the 4 injectors changed the fuel rail sensor air filter engine oil and filter crank filter map sensor cam sensor new fuel pump was fitted before i got it new battery changed the turbo as i had a spare my diagnostic reads no codes all lights go out when started with easy start however i have took the fuel pump out at the back rear arch to check when the garage change the pump for the lady i brought to see if they changed the filter no the had not the filter had a date stamp on for 2007 so thats been on there for 11 years or more i am just waiting for that to arrive but i am not holding my hopes up any more advice would be great Paul Boy
 
The o ring degrades on the high pressure fuel pump and stops it starting, but you will have to check this after fitting fuel filter, does it have a second low pressure pump in engine compartment ?
 
I'd change everything back to how it was, before you randomly changed stuff unnecessarily. It's very bad practice to change lots of parts, as you won't know if you've introduced another fault from all those parts?

Have you looked at the live data with a suitable diagnostic tool?

You want to look at the high pressure rail pressure while cranking. If it's below 15,000 Kpa, then the HP regulator O rings need changing. You symptoms are those O rings.

Many thanks all fixed changed high pressure pump for a spare i had. So if any one has a problem i change low pressure pump turbo fuel injectors egr all sensors so if anyone has a problem i done it all and will tell you how to do it as a home mechanic Paul Boy
