Alright, my gaylander leccy sunroof hasn't worked since I bought it. This doesn't bother me in the slightest as I run the back window down if needed.

My one problem is, there seems to be a gap now between the sunroof seal and the roof. Any idea if I can force it closed manually? :confused:

I'd try and burn the car but I fear the water ingress that may have occured could prevent this from happening! :p

Any help would be gratefully received!
 
Had the same problem and fixed it in 3 steps:

1. Forced it manually in closed position by wiggling the glass plate.

2. Removed fuse of the sunroof to avoid accidental opening again.

3. Put the siliconegun at work and filled the outside groove around the glass plate, so now it's closed solidly AND (hopefully) waterproof as well.L:D:D:D
 
if you remove the interior light and fitting thier is an allen key slot in the motor housing to manually operate the sun roof.probabley wont work though,as one or both of the tracks will haveworn out,common fault,but an easy repair.
 
Ok, I'll have a look. It will be worn rails as the motor / switch appears to work fine. I had the light out etc looking if there was anything obvious before.

Hey Bill, do you fancy writing up a 'How To....' anyway for anyone else who fancies having a go rebuilding them?
 
as luck would have it, this months LRO dropped through the letterbox yesterday, in the back workshop pages are the detailed instructions for repairing your freelander sunroof.
