Picked up a tidy little Freelander sport Td4, 3 door, 18" alloys and removable hard top,
I need to fit a towbar to tow a bike trailer and sometimes a box trailer nothing heavy duty,
So when choosing a towbar kit do I have take into consideration the lower suspension / ride height compared to the standard model ?.
Anyone fitted one to this model or know which one to fit ?.

Thanks.

Mines in the for sale threads but I am in Kent so not much use to you.Its a genuine Landrover one.
When I fitted it, it bolts between the chasis rails and to the rear cross member. It isn't near any moving suspension parts so they should be O.K.You don't even have to jack the car up, you can easily fit them whilst still on its wheels.

Ah little to far out for me but thanks,
I was more concerned about the lower ride height and how low a standard tow ball would sit on the fitting kit,
How to fit one wont be a concern :)

There ain't much difference in height. A genuine tow bat has 2 sets of ball mounting holes but the trailer will easily cope with any towbar height (within reason).

Buy a bar fit it. Use it. Don't worry about it!
