I've seen them break the welds and turn.
The rubber bush doesn't look too clever.
As a short term fix you can cut some thin rubber, wrap the bush and force it into the mount. Bicycle inner tube works OK, several turns.

Do you how much grease do it put in tripod hub bearing? I put a little bit in and coated the bearings last time. I know too much can be just as bad as too little, but I can’t find a definitive answer anywhere

I’ll try a half inch ratchet with a 15mm socket, I’ll push it with my foot. If that doesn’t work, I’m getting a breaker bar today, hopefully that’ll get it off

I haven’t encountered bolts this tight since me and my mate rebuilt my engine some years back. He had a breaker bar with a metal pipe on it, with his full 15st body weight on it. When it finally went, he smashed his knee on the ground. I don’t have a picture of that stage, this one is just before I assembled and fitted the inlet manifold

Boom! It’s off. I’ve had to try and straighten my 15mm spanner though

The new pitch mount arrived today, after some fettling with the position of the engine it’s finally on! I’ve just taken my son for a quick drive around the block and all seems well

Thanks for all the help guys, you’re all legends
