Just joined this site, have had few land rovers in the family and I decided to get one, made silly decision and went for a freelander 1 td4 2003. Learn from your mistakes as they say, just thought I'd say hello.

Haha definitely. Bought it with confidence as it has been in the family for quite a bit with absolutely no trouble. Once I get my hands on it everything goes wrong. Safe to say I won't be getting another freelander
I brought mine recently with a few issues, but I've fixed them all myself for less than £100 and done nearly 3,000 trouble free miles since.
Planning on putting a LOT more miles on it in the next year.
I've only had mine a few months and I've spent quite a bit of money on it. Firstly the slave cylinder went so had to replace that, clutch kit and needed a flywheel (apparently). Bearing thingy on the prop went. Leaking problems to the boot and now it takes ages to start in the morning. Even worse when the engine is warm.
