Hello all.
I have come on here to ask for help.
I have a freelander, 1.8 Petrol 2001.
But I can't start it. It's our only car and now in a lot of bother.
I have looked all over the forum for where to start.
Here is what no have done so far. I've tested the batter. Yep it works. I've had the started motor out, I got told its broken, brilliant. So I've bought a new one and fitted it. But that didn't fix it. I got the new starter out. Also got that tested. Yep it works. So can back to the car. I have then tested that the positive side of the starter is getting power. Yep that's fine. The negative side obviously doesn't get anything as that feeds to the fuses. Which lead me on to check them. I've swapped the relays and fuses around with the spares. And still nothing.
So that's where I'm at.
Can anybody please help.

Oh. I also have looked at the ignision. And no wires seem broken or loose.
I should say I do hear a small click when I turn the key.

When you say won't start do you mean it turns over but doesn't fire or won't turn over on the starter motor.? If you put your whole problem in the F L section the boys on there will have good answers
