So I have a bit of a choice to make... Do I buy a freelander 2 on a 59 reg with chrome pack and 77k or do I buy a range rover sport but for the money it will have to be an older, 2006-7... I've been warned away from the range because of age and maintenance, running and tax costs but I still want one!! Help

Regards to your choice it depends on what you can afford to run.

Welcome.

The RR will cost lots more to run. Bigger, heavier etc etc.

It depends on what you want. Are you towing anything? Do you need the low range gearbox, etc.

The Freelander is a great vehicle, as is the RRS, which is a Disco in a fancy dress!

You have to decide.
