Good luck, hope its a good 'un for you.

As said, just keep an eye on the tyres and monitor the VCU every now and then and it should do you proud.

Just at update, the Freelander I bought is doing fantastic... 8k miles on and has had no issues. I am looking to put a new set of tyres on, the spare is a synchrome which suggest that it was an original spec tyre, however after looking on here and google-ing around it seems that they are extinct. The tyres that I have are a 225/55/17, I would like to put a decent set on (up to £150 per corner) for wet road and light off road use. Could anyone recommend anything? Also is it possible to go for a bigger profile providing they are all the same? If so would it be wise to put one on the spare?

Regards,

While I was in England this time Picked up an imaculate 55 plate 2door with turbo problem for 500 quid. took new turbo with us towed it five miles to nearest lay by son and I changed turbo in two and a half hours roadside with hippo ramps. so now my son has a really nice freelander for 659 quid and a bit of graft.
I will say son and I have done four turbo changes over last eighteen months so know our way around.

"Michelin Latitude Tour" are on mine at moment ..
i had Pirelli Scorpions before .. they were good ..
but the Michelins are much quieter .. are wearing better .. and *keeping their air-pressure better ( longer )
*might be something to do with how they were fitted .. i don't know .. the same outfit fitted the Pirellis ..
