Is it DPF full message?

What’s your drive cycle like? How long between messages? Red or amber warning?

That's what I think.
No. It's part of the exhaust, in the same way the cat in part of the exhaust.
Reading that FL2 sites thread it seems to suggest the DPF gets clogged if people do a lot of short trips and the thing never gets warm enough to burn the soot off.
But also that an Italian tune-up isn't necessary, just a longer trip at reasonable constant revs (definitely NOT on the M25 then).:D

This is true. We've had 4 DPF equipped vehicles since they become mandatory. The only time we see the dreaded DPF light, is when we've not done a decent drive for a while. However driving at duel carriageway speeds for about 30 minutes is all that's needed to rejuvenate the DPF.

I've found that mine tends to regenerate the DPF after the engines up to temp and then the 30 mins or so at speed, sometimes if i want it to clean out the DPF i run it at 3000 revs at 70mph, so staying in 4th gear although it is a 6speed manual or that needs to be done if the "restricted performance" comes up
