Hi,i have a freelander 2.0td4 which cranks over but wont start,i have also noticed there is no glow plug light on any ideas anyone

so, is it a freelander 1 or 2 ? (what year?)

Don't worry too much about the glow plug light, hardly ever comes on for more than a split second anyway.

if it is a freelander 1, or freelander 1 facelift, then it could be a failed injector leaking, a leak off test will tell.

Have you tried spraying easy start into the air intake ?

its a freelander 2,just tried it and it started and run ok,stopped it and tried it again all ok tried it a third time nostart just turning over

Is it the 2.2 diesel if its an FL2?

so freelander 1 then with a Td4 engine (only a capital T)...

freelander 2 totally different vehicle, with a 2.2 engine, not made by BMW, known as the TD4 (both T and D capitals)

back to my original suggestions, leaking injector, faulty cam position sensor, as it turns over, it's not an immobilser fault.
