Have you thought about mounting the lights upside down sort of in between the roof and the roof rack might look a little better just my thoughts. i like the sunglass holders might have a look on the bay do you have a link ?????

The numberplates were made by a company on eBay, there are loads of them on there doing "show plates" but just message them and say you want road legal ones and they will help you out. The black surrounds came from a company on eBay called "powerful Uk" I found the sunglasses holders when I was looking through a main dealers eBay shop, you can find them in the "land rover gear catalogue" just pop into a main dealer and ask for one.

Anyway, after two bloody weeks the rest of the spot lights have turned up! Won't be using those ****ers again, although they did refund me for a pair and sent me a pair to many so I ended up paying £20 for 6 spotlights. Bolted them all on and will be wiring them in this weekend if I don't get called out to many times for work.

Made a start on the wiring for the spot lights, first of all unbolted the whole spot light assembly from the roof rack and removed the rubber grommets from the back of the spot lights.....

Connected up the + and - coming from the back of the spot lights, covered in convoluted tubing which I then wrapped in insulating tape......

Used some cable runners that I found in my toolbox at work to hold the convoluted in place.....

And finally taped up the whole thing ready for bolting back on the car....

Next step was to remove the heater panel, pull off the knobs and remove the 2 screws behind them. Removed the blank switch on the end.....

Will be using this switch I found on eBay to switch the lamps on...

Freelander Front Foglamp Push Switch . Genuine L/Rover on eBay (end time 16-Jun-11 12:40:59 BST)

And that's as far as I got today will update when I have some more to show.

Did a bit more today, fitted the relay next to the fuse box....

Ran the live for the switch and the live for lights from inside the fuse box....

And fitted in line fuses 3 amp for the switch and 30 amp for the live to the relay....

Refitted the fuse box cover and tidied the cables up.....

Will run the cables through into the car via the grommet in the top right corner of the engine bay but will have to be another day as the missis is nagging me to come in the house.

Cables have been run through the engine grommet....

And pulled through out into the footwell....

The live and earth for the lights is fed up the A pillar

And pulled through the map light ready for connecting....

The switch wires are run behind the airbag and pulled out through the switch hole, wire coat hanger has been a pretty handy tool doing all this....

wow how do you live with the original tape deck ! gosh there crap lol

Looks like your doing great job !

That tape deck is quality! Wired into a six cd changer under the passenger seat! I bought a pioneer cd player to replace it, fitted it then took it out again just did not look right. I have the Forrest gump soundtrack on tape, makes for some food listening. :)

Mrfulwell, hows the mods going? been a while since an update! I'll get some pic up of mine soon. I have fitted a Leisure battery, split charge system, rewired all aux lights, Work lights, CB, more 12v sockets, 7" LCD touchScreen (2x Vid inpout and VGA from laptop) and Amber strobes, all switched from the dash. Just had a delivery for the bumper mounted spots all wiring in place and switch (although wrong shade for the dash!) just need to whip off bumper do holes, and fit front ambers in lower grille then all done!

Oh and I did mention in a pm or previous post about the shark fin Aerial I fitted, well mine wasnt any good cos I thought the brownchurch rack was causing interference. On investigation it was my shoddy rushed Co Ax skills! Fixed and works just as good as the original. Too many radio stations to choose from now!!!

Not had time to do anything on the old girl for a few weeks as three fitters have gone off sick so I have been on call for truckpoint for three weeks now! Must have worked 300 hours in three weeks. Bastards. I'm off to cornwall fr a weeks holiday next weekend and the missis has told me I'm not allowed to take the freelander so we are taking her **** little Honda instead so probably won't get anything done on her for another two weeks. Will update ASAP matey.
