Looking into the possibility at the moment. It looks like roughly 250 miles each way for me, but not sure where in West Yorkshire you are meeting-it is a large area
I would need to stay over somewhere as well. Local b&b etc.

Not sure yet if swmbo will give me a weekend pass :D

LOL, well if you do, we will probably meet somewhere around the Leeds/Bradford airport

This place is where we started our last night laning from. Where very Landy friendly. No idea of their accommodation prices though

Just watching a dangerous roads on dave..

Giving me ideas of a sponsered trip/week away or in the uk with the freebies doing offroads only.. Point to point
(sponsered cos im skint lol, and it would be a good cause) do we think somethi g could be organised via the forums?

Now where did I say we was recovering Freelanders :p:D:D:D:D

The last trip Andy and me (mostly Andy but some of the ropes were mine :D) spent about 4 hours recovering a Disco from Belford :D:D

Have to say that it weren't mine - I elected to not even try, although I did take a wrong turn after reversing back out :D

I might be at the back of one group, but I only have a towing eye at the front and two jato rings at the back, so won't be doing too much recovery... mind you the Hippos are a bit lighter than some other Landys...

OK, I dont think the 12th April is working either.

Not sure whether to try another date or wait for the better weather.

I mentioned it to swmbo this morning and she didn't throw a wobbler which is a good start. We don't see much of each other at the moment, with me working 14+ hour days all the time.

Going to have to ban you too :D:D:p:p

Once again, who said anything about it being the Freelanders that need recovering.

My route is very Freelander friendly, its you lot going off taking them rides down the harder stuff who will get stuck :p:p:D:D

You'll be surprised where we can go...

I'm sure you are right :D

Anyone on the trip can have a go at whatever they want, but I promised a fun, non damaging route. The other stuff is available but at folks own risk, and they need decent tyres and proper recovery points in case they dont make it.

The Freelander we took out at Christmas managed OK but it was a problem to recover as it didn't have the recovery points. The harder lanes are also very rocky and tend to chew up road tyres.

I'll supply rear receiver hitches to everyone who goes as a group buy, then there's no excuses :D

hey, look at you an this recovery lark :D

Well its hardly rocket science to work out you might need to tow them forwards sometimes :p:p:D:D:D

And the last recovery we did, from Belford, demonstrated that perfectly, no way Andy could have pulled that Disco backwards.

This one :D:D:D
