What you guys think?

I couldn't separate the photos in this quote. In the third photo, you can see that everything is very dry (and rusted),except the rear diff,I dont know if you've got any problems there, someone else might have an opinion.

Bet yer got the same colour thunders aswell :D :D :p

The flames on the picture you added is just my afterburner you know......, but at a standstill it just goes up, when in motion it's much more impressive.... like a jet engine.;)

Btw. Did last week another yearly clean of the MAF, seemed to be yesterday when I did the last, this shows time flies and so does the car after the cleaning.:D:D:D (Still trying to figure out how you do that with the toothbrush, I tried one myself but no go, even tried to widen the gap with a flat screwdriver but only the middle plastic part gives a little way but not enough for the brush to get in..... How did you manage ??:rolleyes::rolleyes::brushteeth:

Please, if possible, can you guys tell me what brand that spare wheel holder is on the silver 3dr Sport?

I can't find a decent LR cover to fit 18'' wheels, and I really like the look of that.

I would ask your neighbour willo but I'm not next door!

Thank you.

Hi TD_4x4,

As far as I know this cover came standard with the car ?? But will ask my neighbour to make sure whether it was an extra or not.

Thank you very much, willo. :)

It took my eye as it has a black edge and the only one I've found for LR is a chrome edge and ends at 17''.

Hi TD4_x4,
Got an answer from my neighbour and as I thought this cover came indeed with the car but it had the LandRover name on top, as it still shows, and underneath the name of the dealer etc.. He removed this dealername however, he used to do this thinner and/or paraffin. To refresh the marks of the removal as well as give the whole cover the same aspect he used a couple of layers of plain black shoepolish....... So it's the normal "skai" surrounding around the wheel and the backplate is the same "skai" one as usual but with the name removed and treated well with black shoepolish.
Good luck.

Did this myself Willo, using nail polish remover, lifts the dealer name straight off, no free advertising

Good idea, I still have the original cover lying in the attick as I bought the hard one. (With no dealer name on it:D). When I think about I'll try to see what happens when attacked with nail polish remover).

Thought I'd post. We bought the car from a local dealer. When we drove the car out of the showroom there were several problems with it. One of them being that the car would roll on a hill with the hand brake on. We took it back as the promised to fix it. They fixed it, or so we thought.

The car today was put in for it's first mot from us owning it. Mechanic phoned us to say the brakes are a mess. They had tightened the right drum which was causing the car to constantly brake (we didn't even notice this while driving). Basically the car was always breaking. This explains the nooise when first driving away in first gear each morning. In the snow this is the reason why it was locking up and sliding. BBloody death trap they sold us.

lol unfortunately the 6 months has passed for us. We love the car to be honest though, except for the break problem, the 3 amigo problem, a possible drive shaft problem (oil leaking) god knows how much that's going to cost..

We do love the Freelander. :)
