When i emailed dealer i got this;
please find the cost of a spare key & fob.

Key £34.17
Fob £38.18
Lab £37.50
Sub £109.85
Vat £19.22
Total £129.07

Please let me know when you would like us to book you in, it takes about 35/40 minuets & can be done whilst you wait.

try doing a search for keys or instead of potato its come up with all sorts including a phone number to gert them coded

bloody hell guys thats viscious.

thinks its fair to say that there is a lot of newbies come into the forum and straight off don't have time to search through threads that blag on before they get to the point, normally a quick question requires a simple yes or no

being new myself to this site, i have after a couple months now been able to find answers through the search engine but in fairness a lot of it does deviate into a load of toss, but thats what chat threads are for eh;)

awaiting the storm:)

by the way sirus

the link above still does not answer the question. that relates to the fob. the question is about a key Duuhhh

But what use is a spare key wivout a spare fob???

anyways we was excited about using the new buttons

I think that red button was a bit un called for

Theres no need for CAPITALS on a forum like this :D

i did a search for 'keys' in the gaylander section and found the answer within minutes.if the noob is too busy to spend a few minutes looking then he wont have the time to wait while a key is cut fer him. so maybe he should employ a chauffer to do it for him.

I couldn't be ****ed to search, i dont know whether you can just get one cut in town, you usually have to prove you are who you are then get one cut from landrover, judging by the quote the key is in two parts, the key and the blipper. There will be a transponder in the key that needs programming to the immobiliser or it wont start the car.

theres this fer a start

I think you've missed my point above. Because of the cost (the dealer wanted £90 each) I just went to my local key cutter and got 2 standard unchipped keys cut - about 3 quid each. The idea is to then keep the chipped 'clever' key tucked away under the dash near the ignition lock. That way the bog standard keys can be used to start the vehicle.
