Hi all, I've just bought my first ever Landrover, a 2002 Freelander, It is in really good nick and want to keep it that way. I bought a boot liner so the dog doesn't mess it up but I can't get the bleeding rear headrests off to fit it. Does it require brawn instead of brain? How to you get them off?

Cheers

Ha, ha, you could be right, I can't find a way to get them off.
Now that I have lost my LR virginity I can see I am in for a lot of heartache!!!

Ah hah! I have managed to solve the problem. Not to be beaten I went back and stared at the headrests for a bit. Staring didn't work so then I pulled the upholstery down from the headrest fixings on the seat. There is a metal wire clip in each mounting, take one of those off, it only needs one, and hey presto the headrest comes off! Simply put the wire clip back on and the headrest can be resecured, simples!

Should be a button to press on the seat side of the headrest, just on one side like you say!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
