Well, Ive done it
The most disonourable thing - Sold the Freelander and bought a ...................... Rav4
Traded it for a 5dr petrol VX with leather, Picked it up tonight
I have worked for Toyota for 9 yrs upto 2yrs ago so know the brand well and what goes wrong with them (Not a Lot)
First impressions after 2 years away from a Toyota
Freelander has a better driving position and feels far more like a 4x4, Freelander feels small at the front
Rav4 a bit fidgety on the road compared to Freelander
Coming back 28MPG v 32 with Freelander
Rav4 far smoother and much improved cornering
Summary - Will miss the LR, It drives like no other car ive had with its unique style and i looked forward to driving it at the weekend but the simply truth, I cannot cope with treating a car with kid gloves scared something will break every journey, That said very little problems with the car and the ones i had where either down to the person who did the job or cheap crap parts
I must say, in 8 months i have learned so much from this site and would like to thank all those who have guided me.
For those thinking of getting one - Do it for the experience, I have loved 99% of owning mine
For the Anti Freelanders - I looked at a disco and once again would have loved to own one but reading the Disco section you have more problems than on here.
