Pic's looking down the V of the v6. Plastic tubes carry coolant. Thermostate housing is part of this. It's a plastic pipe and splits where it connects. Coolant in the V of the engine is a sign of a leak.

Not sure as I haven't done one and hope I never do. You need to get at it which means cover oft, plastic manifold thing oft, then change thermostat pipe thing and fill with coolant. But thats just a guess. I would stop driving it like that if I was you as low coolant will mean engine damage due to overheating if you don't watch out.

Cheers Hippo,

It's taking days to loose coolant so watching it like a hawk. Taking it to landyman 2moro!. Will post update when things become clear! Thanks again.

A simply question. Rosco mentioed above "My coolant level when the engine is hot only shows very little ( well below min ) but if I shut engine off and slowly release expansion tank cap it fills back up to max??? ".

Understand that he has a leak somewhere, but why does that happen. Is it because the air has come around to the expansion tank and is released when the cap is removed.
