Wow what a reception, spanking actually! Serious question any idea where I can get a passenger side mirror housing?

Welcome Rusitbug,

You will be lucky to get a sensible answer from these bunch of Tratter hicks. I am new to the Freebies as well.
Try Bearmach, its a catalogue mail order firm that specialises in LR. Just Google the name. Or another good one is Formula4x4.co.uk.
And of coarse a wealth of bits on Ebay.

Regards.

I have a 1.8, love it to death, goes like a rocket. have just replaced the head gasket and I still love it. Something WILL go wrong, its a car!. just be prepared. start a savings plan for when something does go wrong.

Rudyard Kipling knew all about HGF!!

"If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you..........;)

hgf has gotta be the scary one. Soon as you notice something unusual, or the temperature gauge moves even slightly from it's normal position, STOP and seek help. Not speaking from experience (Td4 owner) but there are lots of threads on here about things wot go pop/bag/rattle/crack.

As aussielander says, it is a car after all, and things will go wrong irrespective of what car you buy.

Stop fretting and enjoy it. Worry about it going wrong when it does.

One of the few sane replies, must be the southern hemisphere in you? I am prepared for the head gasket to go as it has has'nt yet just hope I am not in the middle of the bush when it does. Otherwise enjoying the van immensely! Hope to keep in touch!

So true!! I have owned most makes of car and every single one has had something or several things go bad. This included those makes considered to be a cut above the rest for reliability (VW, Nissan, BMW).

Good advice!

Cheers
