hi there my mum is looking at a freelander its a 2000 w reg its a s so standerd really its a 2.0l diesle and its done 70k and they want £4.449 is it worth it and what things should i look at when i go and view it for her i have heard alot of bad things about them but she is stuk on getting one

nuffink wrong wiff the doozles the td4 is a bit more refined, but the series is bomb proof. . . .always check the vcu and props out signs of scuffing tyres

Wife just traded in a 03 plate TD4 S with 46000 on the clock very good condition full service history and only got £4800 for it (the deal was actually struck in January)so probably worth less now - couple of other garages offered less for it, so your deal seems a tad expensive.

Try and haggle on the price - would expect that to sell for about £3,000 to £3500 tops. (unless things are cheap by me)

Seems a bit expensive even if from respectable dealer...would want a fair bit off if private or back street
