Do you think it was genuine?
I've seen LR Time working on D3's but no idea how difficult it would be to electrify.
It didn't have the usual exhausts sticking out the back, each side of the spare wheel, so I'm pretty sure it didn't have an engine.
Hopefully I'll see it again, as I'd like to know more about it.

Off the Freelander EV topic, but keeping with electric LRs. Today I saw a D3 which was sporting a "Fully Electric" sticker across the rear window. Unfortunately the owner wasn't about to chat too, but if a D3 can be electrified, then I'm pretty sure the FL2 can be.
Where abouts did you see it John?

The Zombieverter is a board that was mainly designed to control OEM hardware like inverters/motors, heaters, chargers etc by sending the appropriate CAN signals and it's constantly being updated with new hardware being added to the menu's.
It can also be used to control the dash but I'm not sure LR is on the list yet.
If you can do all the work yourself it could be possible to convert a car for under £5k as prices for used EV parts have fallen as supply has improved.

I should have posted this link last time

The case and headers arrived today. :)
The Evri driver mustn't have had his glasses on as he dropped it off at a neighbours door. Thankfully he took a photo of the parcel at the door and I was able to recognise the address. Anyway I have it now so no harm done.

This is the complete kit now.

And with the header soldered on

Now I need to crimp pins onto the leads.
I think I should have paid the extra $75 for the pre-crimped and pinned connectors.
