Right bit of a info thread if anyone can supply it

Because there are some parts from rovers that fit freelander I was wondering

Would the rover 45 front calipers fit a freelander

A mate has one going to scrap yard in the sky and he said I could have anything if it was of use

Calipers will be the same, as will pads.

Discs won't be, they are smaller, and only 4 stud.

If you want an upgrade, go for TD4 calipers and discs, with some EBC uprated pads

I already new the disc wouldn't be the same

Was more a case of there free an if I could have graded from my solid brakes using the calipers/carrier from the 45 before it got scrapped

I think the caliper is the same but I don't think the caliper mount will fit. You would need the correct mount and the correct disc. You will also need the later wheels to fit over the brakes.

just getting round to helping him take loads off this rover 45 and he had a set of brand new Brake pads...

go on ebay and they list Freelander 1.8/2.0d upto 2001 pads are the same as the 45

so if the pads are the same then clearly the calipers will be just a case of are the carriers
