My 2000 Freelander TD4 has just failed the MOT on 4 corroded brake pipes. I've changed brake pipes many times before but never made my own so i thought i would have a go. I have now had a look on the net and found there are 3 types of flare, single, double or din. A bit of research on U Tube says that most European cars use the DIN type, however trying to find a reasonably priced pipe flarer that does this type of flare is not easy as the price varies so much. Does any one have any knowledge as to which type of flare is definitely required and recommendations as to tools. All comments welcome.
