Hi folks I have a 2004 freelander 1 td4 5 door can anybody tell me if you can over ride the interior lights? I have a few jobs I do where I need the rear door open and I would love to just leave it open but I keep flattening my battery or do I just need a better bigger battery thanks guys Ash.

The lights time out ofter ten minutes or so, so you can't leave them on unless you use the switch on the light. Each time you close and reopen a door, the ten minutes starts over. If your battery is going flat in ten minutes of interior light operation, then there's something wrong with the battery or alternator.
A good condition Freelander TD4 battery can power a 10 Watt interior light bulb all night and still start the car in the morning.

Yeh, the interior lights will time out after so long and turn off. If your battery is draining in that period, then you don't need a bigger battery, you need one that's working. Unless there's some other fault, or you've added in some extra very draining illuminations inside your car.
