Hi everyone, im looking for a bit of help

I have recently purchased the electrics for both a towbar and caravan electrics ( both types ) the light one is easy to wire as there is the plug in the rear quarter.

Does anyone know how you you do the other caravan electric plug?? i would like to use the proper freelander ones which i have bought, but can not make heads or tails of how to wire them.

There are 2 thick coloured wires that have fuses on the cables which i am guessing are power to battery?, then there is a black one which im guessing is an earth?

Then there is a 4 pin connector (Which must also go under bonnet somewhere) which even though it is a 4 pin connector it only has one wire which is yellow. Not got a clue what this goes in to??

Then all these cables go in to around 3 landrover relays and fuses which are wired in to the harness, and must stay under bonnet. ( due to length of cable.)

then the wiring goes the length of the car to the rear quarter. then there is another black cable with a ring connector, im guessing this goes to body of car, then another 2 connectors. Does anyone no if these connect in the near side quarter??

I will try and upload a few photos tomorrow so you can see what im looking at.

ps: looked on rave disk and the photos and discription are shocking... can make heads or tails of that either.

Thanks for any help

Good luck! I fitted one to mine and it was a bit of a pain. I also fitted two 12v outlets in boot compartment at the same time. One from split charge relay output and one from the input so I can charge a spare battery whilst the caravan isn't coupled and use 12v accessories which the ignition off. Particularly useful if you have a boy with an RC car!
