Can anyone help, I recently got f4 fault flashing then next day it disappeared but now seems stuck in 4th year and not showing what gear it's in plus 3 amigos are on with engine management light. Unsure if solenoid or maybe needs gearbox oil changing?

Box fluid won't put the brake or engine lights on. I'd be looking for broke wires on the CAN bus, or maybe a blown fuse in the engine bay fuse box.

Okay thanks I've looked at fuses all seem good and can't see any obvious wire breakages. Had friend do diagnostic test and showed nothing. It's got my head scrambled tbh

As your various warnings are coming from different modules (engine ECM, gearbox TCM and ABS module), it suggests something common to all 3, which could be a missing CAN signal. I'd not rule out the Ipack either, as the Ipack (dashboard module) is the hub where all the CAN signals are routed.

Would they all cause limp mode still to be active? Sounds like expensive repairs?

Quite possibly. All 3 computers listed above need to know what each is doing, and the Ipack needs to know whats happening too. I would start by checking the electrical connections on the back of the Ipack by removing them and reconnecting them.
I have a hunch that the Ipack or its wiring is causing the issue.
A second hand Ipack isn't expensive on ebay, and is generally a straight like for like swap.

I've just been for quick spin in the troublesome lump and it doesn't seem to be struggling driving off but still nothing on dash regarding gear and also centre console gear indicator lights not working so I'm thinking loose wiring by gearstick?!

Check the plugs to the right of the gear selector, under the trim. Sometimes they get corroded, that gives bad connections.

Just a thought I'm wondering if it's possible it's only in 1 gear due to low gearbox oil pressure as it does clunk going into drive? Worth a shot especially as it's within recommended oil change timeframe?!

If it's in 4th, then there's an electrical fault registered, so the gearbox is locked in 4th. Fluid level won't cause an electrical fault, and there's no fluid level sensing in the box.

Reason I'm saying this is on another thread someone had f4 issue changed gearbox oil and hey presto. For price of litre of gearbox oil it can't do much harm and probably reason behind clunking noise. I do appreciate feedback pal.

2.5 v6 petrol. So weird it drove for good 15 miles or so no overheating got me baffled tbh. Not sure if dodgy thermostat causing it to be in limp mode. I thought it was deleted on Friday but maybe not.
