Need some advice, other than burn it
Car is a 2005 1.8 petrol
Freelander has brought up a lonely amigo, the HDC warning lights up in amber, and has a code stored C1147 - CAN signal TPS (Error)
I had the live readings checked in both the engine management, and ABS ECU. The engine ECU reads the throttle travel between 0.59v at no throttle, to 4.42v at full throttle.
The ABS ECU reads the throttle angle between 0-100% so it appears that the throttle angle sensor is reading correctly, but the fault will not clear. As soon as it is cleared, the light goes off, and straight back on again.
The rest of the warnings stay off, it is only the HDC that illuminates. The car also drives fine
Anyone have any ideas of what to try? Sounds like it could get quite expensive
