hi all i am not to the forum i am wisler i have a 2003 land rover freelander 2003.i had a problem with diesel leaking from a plastic junction pipe that is just before the Diesel pump i had this fixed now the car will not start fire up.i check and there is no diesel presser.how do i bleed the system?or is there more to it than that?what i thought would work was is i loosen the 1st injector's diesel pipe that would work but to my surprise it did not.

please help me thanks all

Hi wisler, and welcome to LandyZone.

Is this the fuel pump in the corner of the engine bay?

Can you hear it run for a minute or two after you switch on the ignition without trying to start the engine?

Have you pressed the red fuel reset button - also in the extreme back right-hand corner of the engine bay, as you look at the engine?

The system is self-bleeding - but you have to turn on the pump and wait for it to stop - do it a few times before trying to start.

When I bought my fuel filter last year, land rover informed me the bleed procedure for any fuel related item is turn the ignition on 10times for 10seconds. I done this when I changed my filer and the pump, it fired first turn of the engine. I hope you get it sorted mate.

I'd be pressing the red button first, but it probably wouldn't matter which order.

Good luck.
