new to this forum so please advise if this should be in another section. Just moved to Aus and bought myself a freelander. Everything was Fine until she started to cut out. When it cuts out if feels like lack of fuel as the engine runs boggy and comes to a halt. When it cuts out the instruments are all still lite up and have power. After leaving it for half hour it will run again for a few miles and then repeat. I have put fresh fuel in with some injector cleaner and also done up the battery connections as they were not as tight as they could be. I have driven it this evening and seems ok but don't want to get confident on a long drive. Any ideas fuel pump, fuel filter block?? Any help would be gratefully received

Are you able to get the fuel rail pressure tested? You might get more results posting in the Freelander section.

Hi guys just to let you all know turns out it was the crankshaft sensor. I had it plugged in and changed the sensor and plug/cable. Thanks for your help and advice.

Glad it is sorted, but it would have been better to have it plugged in and diagnosed in the first instance, then you know exactly what the issue is.
