Hi
Ive got a freelander 2 2007 that just barely passed MOT. Garage said it wont make it to another MOT - do you think I would get more from a scrapeyard for parts or take £900 on one of these ‘buy any car’ websites? Or can anybody recommend anywhere else - need as much as i cam get. Thank you for your help x

What's the garage telling you? What's so unfixable that it'll never pass an MOT.
My FL2 is a 2007 model. It goes in for an MOT, if it fails (okay, when), I fix whatever is necessary and it passes.

Been keeping my 2007 on the road granted it’s a pile of -:?! But bit of welding here and there gets me through

Well I doubt you’ll get £900 from a scrapyard.
As others have said, why has it failed… rear subframe?

Fixable. Had mine replaced a couple of years ago.
Pretty much any mechanical component can be repaired or replaced.
The electronics, I suspect, may be a different story. Sensors, not a problem, but failre of the processor modules will probably be the death knell.

Oh, I agree. Did my subframe myself last year.
Just wondering what the OP failed on…

If it's only just past the MOT, what is only just passing? And why do you want to get rid of it if it's only just passed?
