The screen will be expensive, but then when they fit it they have to recalibrate all the damm sensors that are hidden behind it which knocks the price up.NEED HELP!!! PULLING MY HAIR OUT!!!

Well they are coming out of an F2…Yes but any I have found don’t fit!
I need to read what the OP says in future not follow what the next person says
Thank you for setting me/us right as i/we were diverted into thinking it was the front driving screenHi it’s not my windscreen it’s the interior LCD screen
TBF to us all, I think the ‘interior LCD’ part may have been inserted on an edit yesterdayThank you for setting me/us right as i/we were diverted into thinking it was the front driving screen
I'm sure I wouldn't have made such a rookie mistake.TBF to us all, I think the ‘interior LCD’ part may have been inserted on an edit yesterday
I'm not sure its quite so simple as that.… for £300-£400, you could put a brand new after- market android or Apple car-play head in to it
Exactly.I’d be looking at the 2nd hand route…
It was lol…sorry allTBF to us all, I think the ‘interior LCD’ part may have been inserted on an edit yesterday
I’m trying, been to a few places and the ones they have available don’t fit I’m aware if I get one that fits, I will need to have it recoded or whatever, but I have a Landrover place that will do that for me.Ah ok.
I thought the ‘car’ sounds would rout through the new head (and old speakers), via the adapter cables. I’ve not looked into it myself either.
I guess the OP just wants a screen that’s less than a grand.

So I have an android screen which I intended to have fitted, but then got all the worries about it needing to be done by a garage or it wouldn’t work..honestly this has been going on for months and I don’t know what to do to fix itI'm not sure its quite so simple as that.
There are lots of sounds/noises the car makes that go through the car's sound system - reversing sensors on mine and lots of dings for belts, ignition and other stuff.
I'm not that clued up with how stereos/head units/infotainment systems work these days. There may be an amp in the car bespoke to the head unit in the car (the LCD bit?).
Mine doesn't have an LCD. I can get an aftermarket Android unit that replaces the cubby hole space at the top of the dash. They come with dash mouldings that fit in and 'look original'. These units though, I believe, simply plug into the existing stereo (head unit?) via the aux port. So the original stereo is responsible for distributing the sound out to speakers and will still be hooked up to the car's systems that use the sound system for interaction with the driver.
It does my head in how complicated this stuff all is these days, which is probably why I've never really taken the time to fully understand it. What I do know though, is that even though I have the most basic of F2 sound systems, its fookin good quality (compared to everything I've had previously).
