Hi Guys & Girls I'm new to LandyZone, I have just purchased my first Land Rover Freelander 2 I have been wanting one of these for a long time and this one came up at an affordable budget I was just wondering if anyone can tell me if there's anything I should be looking for with regards to common faults, Many thanks Jie.

Hi Jie Boy I bought a 3 year old one from an auction on an 07 plate year 2010 and had it for 7 years used it every day and other than 2 weeks before I sold it I had to have new shocks put on the back. Could not sell it on knowing they were going, I had no problems at all.Keep it well serviced every 10k at least. Last I heard it was pulling a horse box around Scotland. Loved it.

All vehicles have horror stories best not to get involved in that if you are happy with your vehicle and it’s safe don’t worry just enjoy it
Welcome to LandyZone :)

Have a drive in it and listen for a rumbling sound from the back end, rear diff failure is not uncommon in these (I had it) look in the freelander 2 section on here there have been a few discussions on buying a sh one lately.
