Good evening all.
As the morning are now getting a bit chilly ( 5.30 am going to work)I've been turning on the heater. But even when I turn the dial right round to the maximum heat its only just warm. The air con is off. What could be the problem please. When i bought the car two years ago I raved about how good the heater was.

Have u topped the coolant up? Could be an airlock, or the thermostat if you take the cap of the header tank (when cold) I'd expect u see water pumping around the system ?

Hi.Thanks for your reply. Are you saying that if there is a problem with the stat that I would see water going around if the engine was cold ?. Whereas if the stat was OK water would not be seen moving until the engine had got up to temperature. (Well that's how I remember it works years ago).
I will check it out,and let you know how i get on.

Pretty much or it could have failed in the other option it could have stuck closed thus not letting water flow ..

Hi again.Been to a garage today. They think it might be a motorised valve on the heating system that's got a bit lazy. Watch this space.
