Hi,
I'm new to all this but need a little help,
I have a 2009 freelander 2 2.2 diesel xs, 108,000 miles with full service history,
Recently had the cambelt change and since then at 2000rpm when the turbo kicks in I get a louder whistle than normal turbo sound,
It's been back as maybe hadn't connected a pipe back correctly etc.
Nothing can be found!
I still have normal power but every now and then have a smell of fumes inside.
Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance

They need to double check the turbo hose it may have a tiny split, or clip may not be tight,

Hi, thanks for reply,
I have taken it to 2 different garages and both have checked the hoses but still nothing,
Hasn't seemed to get any worse but is now annoying me lol,
Is there any other ways to find the leak as I'm guessing it's only noticeable when under pressure?
Thanks

Replace the small bore boost hose as a precaution, it's not expensive ...

I presume they have checked the clips on these joints.

If you still have the spring clip here

Change it for a jubilee clip

Also check the clip that's fitted to the turbo its self as here below, & its hose.
