Also my existing car is not playing ball on the reverse sensors now.. I guess its looking for a tow ball ECU and not finding one.. the dealer will have to sort that one out

I wonder if I could plug the loom / ECU in on collection and have it activated??....

Hi depends if you are buying a 13MY Freelander (with the led lights) or the last of the 12MY.

If it is a 12MY you should be able to use your existing kit.

It's a different electrical architecture on the 13MY vehicles and there is a new tow electrics part number for 13MY.

Have you done some digging on TOPIx under the accessory fitting instructions to see where the new fuse locations are etc?
